Component 2: Critical engagement What's assessed Knowledge, understanding and critical appreciation of two set works. • One compulsory set work within the compulsory area of study • One optional set work within the corresponding area of study, from a choice of four. How it's assessed • Written exam: 2 hours 30 minutes • 100 marks • 50% of A-level
Raptures is ASFC dance company. Dance students are invited to join the company who train on a weekly basis. Raptures have performed at various events including Youth Dance England, Signatures and Tameside Dance Festival.
Torque Youth Dance and Torque Dance company are the resident dance company at ASFC college. The youth group trains on a Wednesday evening and holds auditions annually. There are also open jazz classes 5.30 to 6.30 every Wednesday (term time only) £5.00. ASFC students are encouraged to make use of the open classes and audition for the company. The youth company have performed at some of the largest theatres in the country in many locations including, Blackpool, Manchester, Leeds and London
